Don graduated from the Ivey School of Business, obtained his CA with PriceWaterhouse, and worked for 30 years for the 3M Company in the areas of income tax and pensions. He also owns a company that published the Canadian Tax Planners Newsletter and the Canadian Financial Planner. Don was recognized in 2024 for his work on behalf of London seniors as he was a recipient of the Mayors Honours List in the category of Age-Friendly.
Deb is a retired Librarian and former caregiver for her late mother. Deb realized early on the importance of advocating for seniors including the time it takes to get access to those services and getting them in place. Deb also volunteers with London Newcomers' Alumnae Club, Victoria Quilts Canada and Thames Valley Quilters' Guild. She enjoys needlework, cooking and baking in her spare time.
Lisa is a communications professional with 30+ years of experience. She has provided consulting, planning and writing services to a wide variety of companies across a range of industries. Lisa started her career in the insurance and banking sectors and has been running her own consulting company since 2000. Interests include reading, daily walks, creative drawing and acrylic painting.
Larysa has over 30 years experience in higher education, including managing program administration, student affairs, and recruitment and admissions in the Ivey Business School at Western University. She also is a graduate of the Ivey Business School. Interests include volunteering, playing music, hiking, travelling and reading.
Gord retired from the pharmaceutical industry, spending six years with Warner-Lambert and 29 years with Merck Canada. Since retiring in 2012, he has volunteered at Home Instead Senior Care, as a program review chair at Fanshawe College and a Deputy Returning Officer. He currently volunteers at the Byron Legion, the Oakridge Presbyterian Church and serves on the Advisory Board for Banting House
Barry was in Sales Management in the Foodservice Industry for 40 years. He was also a Humber College Graduate in Marketing. Barry has multiple volunteer board experiences with local non-profit associations such as Huff n Puff, London Senior Games, Lambeth Harvestfest, London Training Centre, Youth Opportunities Unlimited, Canadian Foodservice Professional Association and other organizations.
